Volunteer for CARDV

Dear Potential Volunteer,

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at the Center Against Rape and Domestic Violence. Click here for an application packet with volunteer job descriptions, application questions, a background check form, a confidentiality agreement and an example of a typical Volunteer Training schedule.

CARDV requires an intensive training program for volunteers who will be working in our administrative office, or directly with program participants. The training takes place over a month and covers a wide variety of topics related to domestic and sexual violence. We ask that after completing the training program, volunteers and interns are available for, at minimum, four hours a week for a period of six months following successful completion of training.

The cost of the Volunteer Advocacy Training is $35.00; $10.00 covers the cost of a background check through Oregon State Police and $25.00 covers the cost of training materials and presenters’ time. The $10.00 fee may be waived in some circumstances.

Please return the completed application materials to CARDV, PO Box 914, Corvallis, Oregon 97339 or deliver the packet to the CARDV Administrative Office located at 4786 SW Philomath Blvd. in Corvallis. A member of our staff will contact you to schedule an interview once your application materials are received and reviewed. We look forward to meeting you.

Sincerely,
The CARDV Staff
